Winner of the 2023 Sage Prize for Innovation and Excellence
I am excited to announce that my article, “Audience Agency in Social Performance,” published in 2022 in Cultural Sociology, is the winner of the British Sociological Association’s SAGE Prize for Innovation and Excellence!
The SAGE Prize for Innovation and Excellence is awarded annually to one paper in each of the BSA's prestigious journals: Cultural Sociology, Sociological Research Online, Sociology and Work, Employment and Society.
The prize will be awarded to the paper published in the previous year's volume judged to represent innovation or excellence in the field.
My paper is now free to access for the next year.
I am honored to receive the award out of the 24 total excellent papers published in this journal in 2022. Two other graduates of Yale Sociology have also won this award, though they were already faculty when they did so: Lisa McCormick (2010) and Isaac Reed (2009).
